Investment Vice President

FoW Partners, LP seeks an Investment Vice President (telecommuting permitted in remote role (requires travel to Portland, ME, headquarters for in-office work one week per quarter) to lead thesis-driven research in prospective sectors of interest, including quantitative data and to model support and qualitative analysis of information involving investment programs and financial data, with the objective of identifying attractive investment areas and presenting robust sector analyses to the firm’s investment committee for approval. Responsibilities include conducting initial review and screening of prospective investment opportunities, with significant experience sourcing, reviewing, and leading buyout-stage transactions in the outsourced labor services and multi-site health and wellness services industries; leading investment deal sourcing efforts, including managing relationships with deal intermediaries, proactive outreach to founder-led businesses, and buildout and maintenance of a deals database; leading key aspects of the due diligence process, such as accounting, legal, commercial, technology, human capital, and other workstreams; serving as the first point of contact for and managing third-party advisors, such as accountants, lawyers, and other advisors; leading transaction structuring, financing, and execution in close collaboration with other team members and third-party advisors; working closely with senior investment professionals and managing, mentoring, and supporting junior team members; facilitating implementation of data science and workforce impact tools in prospective investment opportunities and portfolio companies in partnership with specialist team members, including, but not limited to, activities such as vendor management, identification and cleansing of data sets, high-level computer programming, project management of business intelligence implementation and workforce survey administration, and other workstreams; providing ongoing monitoring of portfolio company assets, including review of monthly operating results and maintaining project and impact benchmarks; and supporting and driving internal business building activities, such as team recruiting, culture building, preparation of financial modeling workshops and training for new team members, limited partner reporting, fundraising processes, and other activities. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics, or a related field, and six years of experience that includes three years of investment banking and/or private equity experience working closely with global investment banking and financial services portfolio companies and assisting management teams with business development, add-on M&A, value creation initiatives, financial analysis, ad-hoc support, including direct management of portfolio activities and supporting value creation initiatives in global investment bank and financial services, and also three years of experience in private equity applying data science concepts and workforce impact value creation initiatives to assess the selection of investments and drive value of investments for global investment banking and financial services industry portfolio clients. Alternatively, FoW Partners, LP will accept an MBA and three years of experience in private equity applying data science concepts and workforce impact value creation initiatives to assess the selection of investments and drive value of investments or global investment banking and financial services industry portfolio clients.
